This policy explains how Zeroslack collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit www.zeroslack.co.za, enquire about our products, or use Zeroslack time and attendance software, Zack biometric terminals, and related mobile apps.
We process personal information in South Africa in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Zeroslack is a South African time and attendance product operated by Ouch a touch of technology, 11 McKenzie Street, Bloemfontein, South Africa.
Questions about this policy: info@zeroslack.co.za or 087 087 3680.
When you contact us, apply as a dealer, or request a proposal, we may collect your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, and the message you send.
If your organisation uses Zeroslack, the system may store workforce data needed for time and attendance, including employee names, clocking times, sites, shifts, leave, and payroll-related hours. Where mobile clocking is used, we may collect a GPS location to verify that a clock-in happened in an authorised area.
Zack terminals may also store fingerprint templates for clocking. Fingerprint data is used only to identify an employee at the terminal and is not sold.
We may collect IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar technical data from the website, and device or terminal health information from hardware we support. The site uses Google tags for advertising and measurement.
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with service providers who help us run the website, software, support, or payments, and only as needed for those services. We may also share information if required by law, or with your organisation’s authorised administrators when they manage Zeroslack for their employees.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including backup and legal retention. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it, but no internet transmission is completely secure.
You may ask us for access to your personal information, to correct it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Employees of a Zeroslack customer should usually start with their employer, who controls the workforce data in the system. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Our website and products are intended for businesses, not for children under 18.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
